Weather closures widget & page#

When snow or other possible apocalyptic weather approaches, we have a special frontpage widget (and inside page) to list closures, cancellations and other municipal storm-related announcements.

Joe R. will have to enable the widget beforehand. When enabled, the widget shows on the homepage in the lower right corner. There is an inside page that also lists these closings; it is here:

Use the above link in social media postings/text alerts.

(FYI: This page displays no items unless the frontpahe widget is activated/enabled.)

To add closings/cancellations/parking bans, etc. use this form:

To edit existing closures/delays, here is the spreadsheet that the form is feeding into and that then gets pulled into the widget and Closures/Delays page:

Columns in the spreadsheet that may need editing are highlighted in yellow:

If/when we have to update information for any specific closure/delay listing, we need to update the time in the Timestamp column (you'll notice it's formatted in military time.) This shows up in the listing as: As of date and time goes here.

When we get information that the closure/delay has been lifted or has expired, we can then go into the Do not show column and type in the following: TRUE (This will drop that item off of the listing.)
