Add a YouTube asset to a story in NCS Content/Mediaware#
NOTE: This assumes the video has been edited and uploaded & published to YouTube.
Get the YouTube ID of the video. The ID is in the YouTube URL for the video, so the ID for this YouTube video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SICG0K_fxdQ is SICG0K_fxdQ
Copy that ID; now open up Mediaware and from the top menu bar, select "File > Create New > URL Asset …"
FIG. 1 -- Creating a URL asset.
In the pop-up window that follows, type a short name for the video, paste the YouTube ID into the URL: field and choose "YouTube videos" from the drop-down field marked Asset Type. Click save.
FIG. 2 -- Naming the video asset and assign it an asset type.
Find your story in Mediaware; and make sure you have an Assets panel open nearby and that it's showing your newly created YouTube asset. Then simply click and drag it to the story you want the video to appear with:
FIG. 3 -- Drag the newly-created asset to your story.
That's it.
